PLAY DAY WITH YOUR FRIENDS
We can organise a personalised play day for you and your friends. Ideal for groups of 5 to 8 participants, the day includes all materials, equipment,refreshments and lunch in Treats at Logie. Between us we have the skills to present a wide range of textile based techniques. £50 per participant per day.

Please note:- if you would really like to do a course but cannot make the advertised date, please let us know and we will put you on our waiting list. When we have several names we will try to schedule a mutually acceptable date.
*FROM FLEECE TO FELT
Felting for beginners.
Popular intoduction to the art of felting using our glorious range of coloured merino wool. Create a sample that can be made into a purse and a larger piece to hang on your wall or use as a table centre.

*SHIBORI FELTING
Learn how to dye felt and create unusual effects using the technique of ‘shibori’
Create a small piece of art using this special technique that will inspire you to develop your felting skills even further.

*PAINT TO STITCH I
Paint, print and stitch into fabric
In part one you will learn and experiment with painting, printing and stencilling onto fabric in preparation for using various stitch techniques in part two.

*FREE-FORM CROCHET
Wild and wonderful textured crochet.
Create beautiful textured ’scrumbles’ to include in collars, handbags, hats or cushions. If you have something particular in mind to embellish, you can bring it with you to work with.

*PAINT TO STITCH II
In part two, you will learn to enhance your painted fabric with stitch and beading. It is an advantage if you can bring a sewing machine that has a free machine embroidery facility with you.

*SCULPTURAL FELT
Vessels, vases and pots
3-D felting techniques. Learn two different ways to create three dimensional shapes in felt.
Saturday 11th September 10am – 4pm
*WEAVING WISHES, MEMORIES AND DREAMS
Weaving a wall-hanging on a nature loom, using yarns, fabrics and found objects.
Saturday 25th September 10am – 4pm
*FELTED FLOWER WALL HANGING
Create a large flower study in felt. Take your basic felting skills further. Learn how to achieve:- a relistic flower working from either a living specimne, drawing or photograph of your favourite flower; depth of colour by blending several shades together; and using the shades you have mixed to ”paint”with the fibers and bring your flower to life.

*FELTING FEAST
Flowers, table centre, wall-hangings – you choose!
Come and play with all our glorious colours and blends of fleece to create very individual gifts for your home or for someone else.

*CHRISTMAS CARDS AND WINDOW STARS
Felted panels for cards and folded paper stars.
Get prepared for Christmas and send gifts and cards you have made yourself. Eminently postable!

GENERAL INFORMATION
One day workshops cost £50 per person including lunch, refreshments and all materials.
All courses take place in our studio/shop at Logie Steading and will be limited to eight participants.
We ask for a deposit of £15 , payable when booking your place. A booking form can be downloaded here, or pop into Diva and book, or pay by cheque – cheques payable to Diva Designs.
